November is always quite a tricky time of year as it is between seasons; the Mediterranean resorts have now closed and it is too early for really reliable conditions in the Caribbean (which starts in Margarita in December).
The best resorts to head for in November are Egypt (a very good month), the Canary Islands (especially if you like waves), Tarifa in Southern Spain (also good for a long weekend break) and Mauritius.
Looking a little ahead the Caribbean season is almost upon us with Margarita getting the earliest really reliable wind in December and January. Planet have a very extensive programme for Margarita to include trips and tours all over Venezuela as well as romantic add-ons to the stunning island of Los Roques. While the days become shorter and darker in Europe, the summer finally reaches Mauritius. Especially in low season from November until mid December you find affordable last minute travel offers.
