The center has an ideal location on the main beach of El Yaque with a good size private grassed area for kiting up. This is essential in El Yaque as the beach is quite shallow and busy so it is important to have a fenced off area. The launch from the main beach is not ideal as it has a big wind shadow and can be very busy with both kiters and local sunbather who seem oblivious the dangers ! Therefore Skyriders will take students to Kite Beach, a ten minute boat ride up wind, where there is more space, no wind shadow and an area of shallow flat water to practice. Please note that during Semana Santa Holiday (April 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th) El Yaque Beach gets really crowed with local people who are partying in front of the center. Because of this and as well for safety reasons the centers will close on these dates.
